Mrs. Burt The Singing Sensation

Mrs. Barks had a silly dream about Mrs. Burt playing a piano. Isn't that crazy? Well this is how it started. We all had to go to the hall for assembly. After we were all seated in our place, all of us were waiting to see who the person was that was going to perform. The students and parents were all surprised when they saw Mrs. Burt play the piano. Soon she started to sing...it was beautiful like magic. When Mrs. Barks came to school the next morning, she told Mrs. Burt about the dream. Mrs. Burt said she knew how to play the piano and that when she was little, she had to sing and play. Isn't that crazy?

Update on Room 12

Hi everyone. We thought you'd be interested to know how hard we have been working this week. It is testing week here at Pt. England School! We are busy writing tests in math, writing, and reading. Our brains are starting to feel very sore and tired. The good news is that tomorrow is Thursday and we get to practice our baseball skills with Cola - a real, professional baseball player who is teaching us the game!!!

Zala Runs For Her Life

Ok, this needs some explanation. Cezar and Taka worked really hard to make this animation - our class's second attempt at this sort of still shot animation. We used the green cloth in hopes of green screening in a forest background. However, we soon realized that we had too many shadows - caused by the wrinkles in our green cloth, and the green screen didn't work. We decided to show it to you anyways, and it is back to work for us - to get it right in attempt number 3.

This animation is based on the story "Zala Runs For Her Life." It is about a family of mice who are almost a dinosaur's lunch.
